Edinburgh
Edinburgh Skyline at Dusk Panorama
The stunning skyline of this city with its cornucopia of architectural details lends itself very well to my style of ultra high definition panoramic photography.
I captured this cityscape just after sunset on a clear evening from a distant viewpoint, with the illuminated castle dominating the skyline during the summer festival. The light was magical that day and it accentuates beautifully the remarkable blend of modern and classical façades and structures, punctuated by Edinburgh’s plethora of spires, turrets, gables and domes. This heady, exotic mix of architectural styles all clustered together is so characteristic of this ancient city and it makes it the unique and wonderful place it is.
I was lucky and priviledged to be born and raised in Edinburgh and it is a place that in my heart will always be home, even if sadly I don’t live there anymore.
