Kitchen in Fulham by Williams Ridout

A kitchen in the west London suburb of Fulham, designed and built by Williams Ridout.

A bespoke design to fit into an unconventional space, Williams Ridout (www.williamsridout.com) designed and built this beautifully simple but captivating solid wood kitchen in a house in west Fulham for a young couple with a new baby. The restrained design and materials, inspired by the Shaker movement, is effortlessly clean and effective; the colours are muted but the kitchen comes to life by the judicious use of splashes of bright primary colours, including the red of the large Smeg fridge, the appliances and the bold graphics of the posters decorating the walls. The cast iron stove in the dining area and the stone flooring adds to the lovely earthy, natural feel.
