Ara Coeli is an early Christian basilica on the Capitoline Hill in Rome, one of the most ancient and important churches in the Eternal City. I created this image by combining several separate shots, in order to create ghost-like movement in the people in the basilica. This evocative merging and blurring of the senses of vision and movement I call “synesthesia”.
