I captured this view of Canary Wharf in late November 2019 on a brilliantly sunny but very crisp and cold wintery day. I love the old wharf at left, contrasting with the modernity of the skyscrapers in the background. I also adore the clarity and the sharpness of light of this time of year.

In order to smooth out the water I the images that constitute this panorama with a 10 stop ND (neutral density) filter over the lens as well as a polarising filter

This image is composed of 6 individual shots captured using the mega pixels Nikon Z7 camera, and the super sharp Nikon 45mm tilt shift lens, shifted and rotated from shot to shot in order to widen the view and dramatically increase the resolution, and allowing them to be stitched together precisely and without introducing any geometrical distortions.

Only by using a tilt shift architectural lens can you blend together a multi shot image and totally avoid any of the distortions that any panoramic blending normally imparts on any multi-shot image, as the stitching software has to reconcile multiple vanishing points!
