Evening Panoramic View from Waterloo Bridge, a dusk view of the London skyline, with the River Thames, Blackfriars Bridge and The City, this is a panoramic image produced by stitching together 12 single images to create a wide, very high resolution image of great richness of tone and extraordinary detail.

I went to photograph this view on the 12th November 2017, in order to update previous images that I had taken, since the scale and intensity of the building work going on in The City is quite remarkable, and the skyline changes quite significantly from year to year.

That sky and atmosphere evening were very clear, after a night of heavy rainfall and blustery winds. I seek out with great anticipation days like these, as mostly there is a always a heavy haze of dust and pollutants in the air in London, which rarely rises.

I managed to get a series of superb views of this iconic scene, which is one of my favourite views in London. It is so nice to be able to include the River Thames, Blackfriars Bridge, and The City, along with the majestic baroque dome of St Paul’s cathedral, the masterpiece of Sir Christopher Wren, creating a harmonious blend of old and new architecture, colours, tones, lights and textures in a single, wide sweeping view of this great city.
