Frosty morning over Primrose Hill. This view over my beloved Primrose Hill is an ultra high resolution blended panoramic view taken on a frosty and snowy but brilliantly and blindingly sunny morning back in January 2019. What a glorious day it was!

I was there from 6am and got a series of fantastic wintery views; this is perhaps the best, the entire Primrose Hill white against the sunlight filtering through the trees and the tall buildings of the London skyline disappearing from view into the cold and misty distance. As the sun rose above the tall buildings, I knew the light was just right – it was low enough to create that lovely effect of the sun’s rays filtering through the trees by London zoo, yet high enough to illuminate the snowy slopes of Primrose Hill.

This multi row panoramic view of London was captured using a tilt shift 85mm lens which allows you to contain the geometrical distortions when composing it to only one plane, and is my preferred method of working. Albeit more time consuming, it enables me to capture exactly what I was looking for, in extreme, sharp richness of tone and detail.

This panorama is an ultra high resolution digital composite image, created by stitching together 10 individual photographs to create a highly detailed wide panoramic view.
