This panoramic view of London I captured in July 2017. The panorama spans over Blackfriars Bridge and along the River Thames. The day was warm but with a cloud covering and with hazy sunshine yet with a clear atmosphere, and these conditions of soft light can lead to immersive results, without too many blown highlights or harsh shadows.
I have captured this view of London many times from the wonderful viewing gallery of St Paul’s, as it is one of my absolute favourite buildings, let alone one of London’s greatest and most spectacular viewpoints. The changing skyline and differing conditions never fail to spark my imagination, and each time I return with interesting results – this time was no different.
