The River Thames with the Millennium Bridge, St Paul’s and The City Panorama, daytime. November 2021.
The walk along the south bank in London is mesmerising with the views of St Paul’s and The City across the river. The many bridges that span the Thames are each unique, but none are as graceful as the slender, pedestrian only Millennium Bridge.
I captured this panoramic view using a strong ND (neutral density) filter on my camera lens, which enabled me to extend the exposure times of each shot, to 15 seconds. This lengthening of time then leads to the choppy surface of the water to become smoothed out, an effect I particularly love.
