Here is a Panoramic View over the rooftops and buildings of Kentish Town, towards The City with St Paul’s and the Shard also visible, captured from the Parliament Hill viewpoint in Hampstead Heath park.
The view of the gleaming, modern skyscrapers and buildings of The City is quite distant from here, but I used a powerful 500mm telephoto lens to bring everything together. This is one of my favourite viewpoints in London, the view is really wonderful.
This panorama includes the rooftops of Kentish Town and Camden, over towards The City at left and St Paul’s and the Shard at right. The plethora of cranes dotted throughout I think adds to this busy and rich city scene and narrative of London being built.
I shot this Panoramic View over Kentish Town in June 2016, on the day of the full moon, which is just out of shot to the right, but adds extra illumination to the scene.
