A spectacular panoramic view over Marylebone at sunset. This evening had a dramatic light with the rich, glowing colours of dusk with the last embers of the setting sun below the horizon illuminating the high clouds in the sky.
I shot this panoramic image with a strong ND (neutral density) filter, so as to dramatically extend the exposure time of each of the half dozen individual images which together make up this ultra high resolution panorama. This smoothed out the exposure as well as the clouds in the sky, making them thinner, wispier, more stretched out and more evocative. The street lights added that incandescent warmth to the buildings, adding to the composition.
This image is in 3:1 panoramic format, but it is also available in 2:1 format here
