A spectacular view over Marylebone at sunset. This evening had a dramatic light with the rich, glowing colours of the last embers of the setting sun illuminating the clouds in the sky.
I shot this panoramic image with a strong ND (neutral density) filter, so as to dramatically extend the exposure time of each of the half dozen individual images which together make up this ultra high resolution panorama. This smoothed out the exposure as well as the clouds in the sky, making them thinner, wispier, more stretched out and more evocative. The street lights and the red light trails from the car lights added that incandescent warmth to the image, enhancing the composition.
This image is in 2:1 format, but it is also available in 3:1 panoramic format here
