Crouch End Rooftops Panorama with The City BW

This is a black and white panoramic photograph over the Crouch End Rooftops, as seen from Alexandra Palace. The skyscrapers of The City can be seen in the distance. On the horizon to the right is visible the Shard, as well as the dome of St Paul’s. This panorama was created by capturing multiple vertical images and then digitally blending them together laterally, to create a wide view of very high resolution and of breathtaking clarity and detail.

The viewpoint of Alexandra Palace is a wonderful place to see the surrounding area, but a powerful telephoto lens is recommended because the buildings of The City are very far away. I used a 300mm lens for this panorama. I love the pattern and lines of streets and Cround End rooftops in the foreground, with the almost surreal distant skyscrapers beyond.
