London Sunrise

London Sunrise, a spectacular view over the rooftops of Marylebone, with the BT Tower, as day breaks. The rich colours of the morning “blue hour” aurora colours in the winter can sometimes be so very evocative.

This morning has amazing colours. As the first colours began to appear in the sky, I noticed a particular richness in the glowing red, and all I did was sit back to witness the astonishing display of nature, as I clicked the shutter.

The sky was cloudless, aside from a couple of peculiar clouds which rolled and danced in constantly changing shapes as the wind blew them slowly across the skyline. The purple tones of the sky contrasted with the blue shadows of the buildings and rooftops of Marylebone, still asleep in the early morning. This really was an unforgettable morning.
