Morning Panoramic View from Primrose Hill

This is a wide aurora view from Primrose Hill looking over the trees and buildings of Primrose Hill and Regent’s Park, featuring the stunning London skyline with The City skyscrapers, St Paul’s and the Shard also visible.

The view of the gleaming, modern skyscrapers and buildings of The City and Canary Wharf is quite distant from here, but I used a powerful 300mm telephoto lens to bring everything together. This is one of my favourite viewpoints in London, the view is really breathtaking at any time of day or night. But I think that the autumnal mornings are the best, as the sun rises just to left of my image here, and so the glow of light in the sky as dawn approaches is beautiful. I went here this morning to shoot this panorama along with my friend Michal who was capturing time lapses for a client.

The plethora of cranes dotted throughout I think adds to this busy and rich city scene and narrative of London continually being renewed and under construction.

I shot this Morning Panoramic View from Primrose Hill in on the 6th October 2022, on a chilly but clear morning.
