Panoramic View over Bloomsbury

Panoramic View over Bloomsbury. This is a view from the terrace of the Standard Hotel on Euston Road. I was invited on an architectural tour by Orms architecture and so I of course brought my camera with me. The view towards St Pancras and Kings Cross Stations is stunning as can be seen in my “standard” (no pun intended) cityscape here. However the rear and east facing outdoor rooftop terrace had a marvellous aspect over the rooftops of Bloomsbury and towards The City that I couldn’t resist capturing as a panorama.

What a wonderful building it is. Formerly the Camden Town Hall, built by in-house architects in the 1960s, Orms with their innovative architecture have given it a completely new lease of life. But of course even more spectacular for me are the views from it. This panoramic view over Bloomsbury is a lovely serene afternoon view of one of London’s most historic districts.
