The sun rises besides Dattilo, on a late autumnal morning.
One memorable morning one year in early November I was up early to capture the colours of the first light and the sun rising.
The air becomes clear of haze as winter approaches, but the humidity in the sea air can impart in the atmosphere wonderful colours at dawn. Dattilo is the rocky islet about a mile away; it changes colour as the sun hits it from noon onwards, but here it appears as a totemic silhouette on the horizon. Some days you are lucky with the light – despite many early rises, not all are as spectacular, but this was one of them. As I created this multi-shot panorama, I knew I had something special in the bag.
Immerse yourself in the immense detail and rich tones of Adam’s unique collection of panoramic views of Panarea, captured over the past 20 years.
