July in the Mediterranean is a time of fun and happiness. Few places are as evocative of this sentiment as the rugged coastlines of the Aeolian Islands. I believe Panarea has some of the most dramatic coastlines, indented with coves with a dramatic rocky volcanic setting. It is not possible to reach this rocky coastline of this side of Punta Milazzese other than by boat, so it is generally peaceful. It is a favourite place to dock your boat and relax in the sun and to enjoy and soak up the beauty of the Mediterranean summer.

The promontory of Punta Milazzese has amongst the most beautiful coastlines of the entire Aeolian archipelago, and it also houses the remain of a Bronze Age civilisation.
