This is one of the most beautiful houses in the Aeolian Islands, the volcanic archipelago located off the north eastern tip of Sicily. It was originally a cluster of houses, originally restructured into a wonderful villa with cascading gardens in the early 1960s by the contemporary art dealer Erika Brausen and her companion the model Toto Koopman. This House of the Sette Mulini terrace has one of the most theatrical settings and stunning views of any house I have ever photographed.
