This ultra high resolution Panorama of Edinburgh from Blackford Hill is a view of Scotland’s resplendent capital city over the rooftops of The Grange and Marchmont neighbourhoods, towards the Castle and the Old Town for ming the skyline with the distant hills of Fife beyond.

I captured this from the tall hill and location of the Royal Astronomical Observatory, a wonderful viewpoint of Edinburgh. This was captured in December, with the steely grey tones of the winter sky, and the heavily water laden clouds, but with the city illuminated by the glowing low rays of the morning sun.
