Timelapses

I have been making timelapses since 2014 although more recently my knowledge and techniques have improved significantly. Furthermore, advanced editing software has helped to reduce flickering in the sequences, as well as enabling the night-to-day time lapses which are known as the “holy grail”; impossible to do until just a few years ago

I started making timelapses of the beautiful night skies of the Aeolian Islands, which has incredibly dark skies, so perfect for seeing the stars, planets, and of course the Milky Way. And not only this, from my side of Panarea where, as anyone who follows me knows, I spend half of my life, we have a super view of the constantly erupting volcanic island of Stromboli, which offers what must be consider as being amongst the world’s most stunning spectacles.

Many of my efforts thus far are therefore of Stromboli, along with the stars, the occasional electrical thunderstorm, and also of the Comet Neowise which graced the night skies in the summer of 2020.

I also have videos of London and other places, a selection of which can be seen below.
